About the event
Evening speakers include Diane Buckshnis, a former city council member against the measure, and Treasure Mackley, executive director of Invest in Washington Now, which supports progressive financial solutions. Mackley is also part of Keep Edmonds Vibrant, which backs the levy proposal.
Each speaker will introduce herself, then respond to questions from the moderator. After each speaker makes a closing statement, questions will be taken from members of the audience.
Audience members wishing to ask questions will be asked to place a ticket in one of two boxes – pro and con. The moderator will then draw tickets from the boxes and ask the questioners to come forward – alternating between the pro and con sides. Questions must be asked within 15 seconds.
There is no charge for the event, but RSVP in advance is requested as seating is limited.
