About the event
Join the Edmonds Civic Roundtable to hear from Candice Bock, director of government relations, advocacy and education with the Association of Washington Cities (AWC). She will address the state of Washington cities, including infrastructure, housing, budget shortfalls, public safety and more.
Candice is a veteran of 15 years with , with an additional 15-year background in city government, Ms. Bock will also present the agency’s survey findings showing structural imbalances in local tax structures and how cities are struggling with state mandates that come unfunded.
AWC is a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan corporation that represents all 281 Washington's cities and towns before the state legislature, the state executive branch and with regulatory agencies. Founded in 1933 it is a highly respected voice before the Legislature, Congress, government agencies and others and is a catalyst for developing a broad public understanding of the important roles of cities and towns across the state.
